Job Title: Education Coordinator (Part-Time)

Job Purpose:
The purpose of Edible Education Experience’s (EEE) Education Coordinator is to handle the planning, logistics, communications, execution, data gathering, and reporting for all K-12 educational programs.. The Education Coordinator will also be responsible for all volunteer coordination for the organization.
Job Responsibilities & Duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate all logistics for K-12 educational programs, including scheduling classes and culinary educators.
Respond to all inquiries related to K-12 educational programs within 2 business days.
Manage accurate registration of all students.
Review and respond to scholarship applications.
Serve as EEE liaison with parents and group leaders (i.e. home schools, class field trips, nonprofit partners, scouts).
Work with EEE program team members and educators on class curriculum.
Create and conduct surveys for all K-12 programs; acquire other data as needed.
Collect and analyze data and prepare presentations/reports as required by grantors.
Act as main staff point of contact for K-12 classes; greet parents/group leaders and students.
Be present throughout entirety of all K-12 classes, pitching in to teach/assist/clean when needed.
Serve as Culinary Educator, when needed.
Grocery shop and prepare ingredients for classes, when needed.
Ensure set-up and clean-up/break-down of classes.
Coordinate all volunteer efforts for the organization, including recruitment, orientation, scheduling, accountability, and appreciation. Also oversees interns.
Qualifications & Skills:
Impeccable attention to detail.
Superb planning and logistical skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Data management and reporting experience. Website backend experience preferred.
Teaching experience required; culinary experience preferred.
Previous experience working with volunteers.
Experience working with children, parents, and educators.
Ability to provide own laptop and cell phone and have adaptability to work in a flexible workspace.
Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to conduct oneself professionally, maintaining confidence and confidentiality, as well as integrity and objectivity.
Ability to provide constructive and respectful feedback that is encouraging and effective.
Team player.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working indoors/outdoors, with children and adults, and occasionally on weekends or evenings. Includes risks inherent with cooking and gardening. Requires a car and the ability to transport and carry groceries.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS*
The incumbent is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and walk, drive and bend frequently. The job requires a car and the ability to transport equipment and supplies related to the job description. Has the ability to see and hear. Able to lift somewhat heavy objects occasionally. Use of keyboards and phones frequently. Cope with high levels of stress, make timely decisions, concentrate, handle a high degree of flexibility, handle multiple priorities, work alone, demonstrate high degree of patience, work in areas that are close and crowded**. Accept flexible schedules.

Compensation:
Hourly: $17-20/hr (30 hours per week avg.)
