Meet our guest educator, Joe.

Joe Leigh, co-owner of Zymarium Meadery in Orlando, has been passionately making mead for over a decade, with a focus on producing high quality, delicious, well-balanced meads that showcase the range of flavors of the honey and ingredients used.

The American Mead Makers Association has named him one of the top 10 mead makers in the world two years in a row for winning over 70 medals in the toughest mead competitions. Almost all of his meads use honey sourced within two hours of Orlando and a range of 20 different styles can be enjoyed at Zymarium's Taproom, as well as Michelin Starred, and Guide recommended, restaurants around town.

Zymarium Meadery officially has the most 90+ point meads in the world, as judged by a panel of a dozen Sommeliers, including a Grand Master Sommelier, at the Mead Institute’s Mead Open.
